Submissions: We prefer submissions by WiG members but are open to others. The deadline for consideration for the next volume is the end of the year. However, we do accept submissions throughout the year. We do not publish articles in German.
The 2016 Women In German Yearbook has been mailed.
-Ingeborg Bachmann's poetics (Alexandra Kurmann)
-Bettina Brentano von Arnim's Romantic philosophy (Renata Fuchs)
-Narrating rape in Woman in Berlin (Anja Wieden);
-Red Zora and the women's movement (Katharina Karcher)
-Interview with Gabriele Petricek
In addition, there will be a special section on intersectionality with contributions by Maureen Gallagher (on women in colonial novels), Beverly Weber, Vanessa Plumly, Jamele Watkins, Peggy Piesche, and Bradley Boovy.
Volumes are available on Project Muse.
The WiG Newsletter, published online twice a year, contains information about the organization, plans for conferences, previews of upcoming conferences, news from abroad, personal news about members, conference reports, book reviews and selected items culled from the WiG-L list.
WiG members can also look forward to receiving the annually issued WiG Yearbook. Please feel free to browse the table of contents of the current yearbook, as well as the contents of previous yearbooks. The yearbook is also available on Jstor and Project Muse; when assigning an article as class reading, please have students access it individually via Project Muse -- every click contributes towards the royalties WiG receives.
